The small beach is about 800 m downhill. You can reach the beach in about 15 minutes on a gravel road left past the Hotel Naftilos, or on the sealed streets of the hotel complex Proteas. The beach is made of fine gravel. In the water it is partly sandy, but shoes are recommended, as everywhere on the island. Sun loungers, parasols, fresh water shower and a small beach bar are offered by Hotel Proteas, but are available for everyone. Often it is quiet and not overcrowded, so you can enjoy the crystal clear water without waves. On the right side of the beach are some rocks, where it is worthwhile to have goggles and snorkel. Many smaller fish and a beautiful underwater world can be experienced, which is not always the case on Samos. It is most beautiful in the evening from 17:00, then you have the beach almost to yourself. The sun is not burning so hot from above and everything is slowly coming to rest. If only there was not the exhausting way back to the apartments. Fortunately, half way uphill, there is a huge fig tree where you can refresh yourself or motivate the kids again. After about 15 minutes you are back upstairs and it is best to jump straight into the pool.

In the east of the island you find the beach Psili Ammos (Greek: fine sand). Enthusiasts will find a sandy beach with shallow water, which is especially suitable for small children! It is located on the strait of Mykali and is only 1.5 kilometers from the Turkish coast and 8.5 kilometers from Elena Bungalows. There are taverns, restaurants and cafes. Sun loungers and parasols can be rented there for a fee.

In the east of Pythagorion extends the 8 km long Mykali Beach. A seemingly endless pebble beach overlooking Turkey. If you like to rest and you want to be alone on the beach, you will always find a spot here. Occasionally there are also sun loungers and parasols offered, usually in the environment of a hotel or restaurant. We can highly recommend the tavern "Endless".  Provided a later meal, you get a sunbed for free. You can also refresh yourself with a cold drink.

The Potokaki beach at Pythagorion is just outside the city in the direction of the airport. There are beach chairs and umbrellas, beach bars and numerous water sports are offered. The Potokaki beach is a long pebble beach that stretches to Ireon. You can escape the gusty wind when you settle in the lee of one of the hotels, such as the exclusive Doryssa Hotel.
